On May 11, 2026, the 6th Asian Summit on Global Health (ASGH), co-hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre under the theme “Shaping the New Breakthroughs in Healthcare.” The summit brought together healthcare officials, experts, researchers, investors, and industry representatives from 43 countries and regions worldwide to discuss global healthcare trends, innovative technology adoption, and investment opportunities.
Eieling Technology Makes a Splash, Showcasing AI-Empowered Full-Spectrum Liver Health Solutions
With over 1 billion people living with fatty liver disease globally, conventional diagnostic devices remain large, expensive, and complex to operate, making it difficult to penetrate primary care and consumer health settings. As a key research commercialization spin-off from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Eieling Technology presented its solutions — Liverscan® and FattaLab® — at the forum, attracting significant attention on-site.

Liverscan® — Portable Liver Elastography Ultrasound Diagnostic System
Liverscan® is the world’s first portable device featuring patented real-time 2D ultrasound-guided transient elastography technology. Requiring only 4 valid measurements, its diagnostic results achieve statistical “non-inferiority” compared to the traditional standard of 10 measurements — effectively doubling measurement efficiency. Powered by four AI deep learning models, Liverscan® significantly improves detection success rates in patients with abdominal obesity and high BMI.[1] Transient elastography detection is no longer confined to ultrasound specialists and large hospitals, enabling seamless deployment to community health centers, physical examination centers, and other primary-level institutions, reaching a broader population.

FattaLab® — Fatty Liver Diagnostic Device
FattaLab® is the world’s first standalone diagnostic device for fatty liver to receive FDA clearance, and was honored with the CES 2026 Digital Health Innovation Award. It supports 30-second rapid acquisition with AI-assisted guided scanning, automatically adjusting sampling depth based on subcutaneous thickness. FattaLab® provides portable fatty liver screening services and product efficacy validation for institutions such as weight management clinics, pharmaceutical companies, insurance providers, and wellness brands — closing the loop from “scanning” to “management.”
A diverse array of international healthcare officials, investors, and industry experts stopped by for discussions, expressing strong interest in the products and a desire for further cooperation.

Responding to the National 15th Five-Year Plan, Driving AI Healthcare Deeper into Primary Care
China’s 15th Five-Year Plan explicitly calls for accelerating the development of “Healthy China” and promoting the deep integration of AI and healthcare innovation. Eieling Technology actively responds to national policy directions by continuously deepening the application and penetration of AI in the liver health sector.
Throughout the summit, the team conducted live product demonstrations and presentations on the company’s latest technological breakthroughs in liver health, which were highly recognized by attendees. Many agreed that Liverscan® and FattaLab® can significantly enhance the efficiency and quality of liver disease diagnosis and treatment workflows. Additionally, the company attracted attention and exclusive interviews from multiple industry media outlets.
FattaLab® iOS APP Beta Version Officially Launches at Exclusive Dinner Event
During the ASGH, a beta launch dinner for the FattaLab® iOS APP was held concurrently, with the beta version officially unveiled that evening. This milestone marks the expansion of liver health screening from hospitals to clinics and homes. By digitizing, visualizing, and tracking test results, FattaLab® effectively lowers the operational barriers and environmental constraints of liver health testing. Home users can now perform self-monitoring in daily scenarios, enabling a shift from “passive treatment-seeking” to “active health management.”

At the same event, a panel discussion was held on the theme “Multidisciplinary Collaboration in Bariatric Metabolic Surgery and Liver Health Management,” featuring distinguished speakers: Prof Seto Wai-Kay, Clinical Professor, Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine, The University of Hong Kong; Li Shu Fan Professor in Gastroenterology; Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Queen Mary Hospital, along with his research team; Prof Zheng Yongping, Chair Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Henry G. Leong Professor in Biomedical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; and Dr Wu Tiangen, Attending Physician at the Weight Management Center, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, and Obesity and Metabolic Disease Surgery Center of Zhongnan Hospital, Wuhan University. The panel explored how internal and surgical disciplines can jointly empower liver health management in the era of bariatric surgery and GLP-1 therapeutics.
With the FattaLab® iOS APP, users can view real-time liver health reports on their mobile devices, with test data automatically synchronized and liver health trends clearly visualized — dramatically lowering the barrier to fatty liver screening. FattaLab® is driving the “Hardware + Software + Service” integrated model, enabling liver health screening to fully penetrate from hospitals to clinics and households, delivering convenient and precise liver health management services to a wider population.

Through this ASGH forum, Eieling Technology not only demonstrated its technological strength in the AI liver health space but also strengthened connections and collaborations with international healthcare enterprises. The company will continue to focus on the primary healthcare market, driving products to truly integrate into grassroots healthcare systems, streamlining and enhancing liver health screening workflows, and contributing to the realization of the “Healthy China 2030” strategy.
