On August 10, 2026, a delegation from the Thai Ministry of Health visited Eieling Technology. Eieling Technology extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as liver disease prevention and control, and also held thorough discussions on university research collaboration, talent development, clinical cooperation, and nationwide liver screening initiatives. The Hong Kong SAR Government and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University provided full support for this exchange visit.

Professor Zheng Yongping, Founder and Chief Scientist of Eieling Technology, highlighted the team’s representative achievements in research collaboration and technology commercialization. Jia Xiaojia, Co-founder and CEO of Eieling Technology, shared the company’s development journey and recent progress in product R&D, clinical implementation, and market expansion in the liver health sector. As a global leader in AI-driven liver health, Eieling Technology possesses mature R&D outcomes and implementation experience. The company’s two flagship products, Liverscan® and FattaLab®, offer comprehensive coverage from fat quantification to fibrosis assessment, spanning the entire MASLD management spectrum. They are well-suited for large-scale deployment in primary healthcare institutions, community settings, and mobile screening scenarios, effectively addressing the accessibility and efficiency gaps of traditional liver disease detection methods.
Thailand is a country with a high liver disease burden in Southeast Asia. Liver cancer ranks as the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the country, with over 26,000 deaths annually. Meanwhile, 44.6% of Thai adults are affected by MASLD (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease), meaning approximately 1 in 2.2 adults is impacted. However, only 20% of high-risk patients are referred to specialists, leaving a large number of patients undiagnosed and untreated. The situation calls for urgent action, and effective screening tools are critically needed to enable early detection and intervention.
During the exchange, the Thai Ministry of Health highly commended Eieling Technology’s achievements in product development and industrialization. The Ministry noted that Eieling Technology’s full-chain solutions closely align with Thailand’s current efforts to build a grassroots liver disease screening system, laying a solid foundation for future university research collaboration and talent development.

Throughout this exchange, the parties offered constructive suggestions and forward-looking perspectives on jointly addressing the public health challenges posed by liver disease. With its deep academic heritage, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University provides strong academic support for ongoing exchanges in the field of liver disease screening. Going forward, all parties will further leverage the synergies of industry-university-research collaboration to promote the efficient translation of cutting-edge research into public health applications, contributing more innovative practices to regional liver disease prevention and control.

The visit of the Thai Ministry of Health delegation not only built an important bridge for Sino-Thai exchanges on liver disease screening but also infused new momentum into Thailand’s liver disease prevention and control system. Moving forward, Eieling Technology will continue to deepen technological collaboration and innovation, advance the implementation and broader adoption of liver disease screening technologies, extend the benefits of technology-driven health solutions to more people, and contribute Chinese wisdom and solutions to global liver disease prevention and control.
