Eieling Technology Makes Debut at CMEF: AI-Powered Non-Invasive Liver Assessment Ushers in a New Era of Liver Health Management

From April 9–12, 2026, the 93rd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) Spring Edition was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This year’s CMEF attracted nearly 5,000 exhibitors. As an innovative enterprise specializing in non-invasive intelligent liver solutions, Eieling Technology showcased two products at the exhibition: the Liverscan® Portable Liver Elastography Ultrasound Diagnostic System and the FattaLab® Fatty Liver Diagnostic Device , demonstrating the company’s technological prowess and global footprint in the field of non-invasive intelligent liver assessment.

Booth Highlights: Global Attention and International Recognition

Driven by its innovation DNA rooted in Hong Kong, China, Eieling Technology’s core technologies and brand influence are rapidly expanding across multiple continents. At this year’s CMEF, the Eieling Technology booth drew a steady stream of visitors, with professional attendees from China, Russia, Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions engaging in in-depth discussions with the Eieling team on product performance, clinical application scenarios, and localized cooperation models.

Product Portfolio: From Hospital to Home

Currently, China faces immense demand for fatty liver and liver fibrosis detection. Although liver biopsy remains the “gold standard” for liver disease diagnosis, its invasive nature limits widespread adoption and patient acceptance. Traditional ultrasound examination, on the other hand, relies heavily on operator experience, suffers from insufficient accuracy, and cannot provide precise quantification. In October 2025, the National Health Commission, together with five other departments, issued the “Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Chronic Disease Health Management Services at the Primary Level,” explicitly calling for enhanced primary-level chronic disease management services. Driven by both national policy and pressing clinical needs, chronic liver disease detection technologies are poised for significant growth.

Liverscan® Empowers Primary-Level Screening, Democratizing Advanced Technology

At the exhibition, Liverscan® garnered significant attention from professional visitors in clinical diagnostics and health management centers. This product integrates liver fibrosis and fatty liver detection capabilities, enabling precise quantification of both key indicators simultaneously. Leveraging globally patented core technologies and real-time B-mode ultrasound image guidance, Liverscan® requires only 4 valid measurements to deliver results comparable to the gold standard, reducing examination time and significantly improving screening efficiency. Its low learning curve allows operators to become proficient after short-term training. The system operates reliably in large-scale population screening scenarios, truly enabling the widespread adoption of advanced technology in primary healthcare institutions.

FattaLab®: A Palm-Sized Intelligent Liver Solution for the Metabolic Health Era

As a recipient of the CES 2026 Digital Health Innovation Award, FattaLab® serves as a long-term liver fat monitoring tool. Powered by proprietary patented human liver fat detection algorithms, combined with an innovative design and lightweight form factor (weighing just 120 grams), it enables palm-sized fatty liver detection with precise assessment of fatty liver severity. FattaLab® provides quantitative evidence for weight management and pharmacological interventions for fatty liver disease. Its compact size and portability make it adaptable to a wide range of scenarios, including community clinics, pharmacies, health check-up centers, and health management companies, offering the public a more convenient testing option and helping to reduce the burden of fatty liver disease.

Both products not only underscore Eieling Technology’s R&D capabilities in non-invasive liver assessment but also provide high-quality, accessible screening tools for liver health at the community level. As a research commercialization spin-off from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Eieling Technology upholds the mission of “AI-Empowered Precision Medicine.” Leveraging its proprietary core technologies and brand strengths, the company is committed to continuous innovation and widespread adoption of non-invasive liver assessment technologies, enabling more patients to benefit from early screening and precise evaluation of liver diseases.
